The Wicomico County Board of Education is seeking input by March 4th on the calendar for the 2026-2027 school year.
At the February 10th Board meeting, the Board gave initial approval to two draft calendars, one with a Pre Labor Day start and one with a Post Labor Day start. The dates for Thanksgiving break, winter break and spring break are the same on both draft calendars. There are differences between the calendars on end-of-term dates, some professional days, and the start and end dates for the school year.
The Pre Labor Day draft calendar would begin school on Sept. 1 and end the school year on June 11.
The Post Labor Day draft calendar would begin school on Sept. 8 and end the school year on June 15.
Input is now being gathered for the Board’s consideration prior to its March 10th meeting. Please respond to this calendar input survey by noon on Wednesday, March 4th.
